Ellington Porter Jr is a young musician that is considered by many to be a prodigy, gifted in playing drums. Ej, has been playing the drums from the age of 2 years old, his gift and ability quickly grew, as he listened and learned from some of the nations best drummers. By the age of 5 years old, Ej was playing drums for his church services, filling in for the professional recording musicians when they would be on the road. This fill in turned into a regular standing service, where he gained knowledge of playing in various Gospel, Jazz, R&B styles. Ej, although 14 years old, has had the opportunity to play for major events, concerts, and tours with his Gospel recording church choir, The Porter Brothers and Genesis. Ellington Jr has also placed in various drum clinics within Northern California, and most recently placed as 1st place in the Minnesota State Fine Arts competition 2019, as well as placed 2nd in the Nation in the Assemblies of God Fine Arts National Competition 2019.
