I am a music major at Eastern Illinois University. My dominant instruments (and what I am going to school for) is trumpet, vocal, and drumset. I also play some keyboard/piano (as music majors must) and I am a beginning to learn guitar. My home town is Taylorville (62568) and I am also based there. I give lessons there over the summer and breaks, but I bounce between Charleston and Taylorville between school depending on where I am playing. Influences
I love learning more about my voice by imulating the great women singers that came before me. I song anything from patsy cline to Pat Benetar. The long heritage of jazz, especially Chet Baker, Wynton Marsalis, Miles Davis, and Freddie Hubbard. My grandpa was a stand up bass player and I grew up singing close harmonies with my family that pastors a church, and playing drums on praise team, and jazz bands. I have played trumpet through school and it is my primary instrument in college. I play lead trumpet and can proficiently improvise solos. I also have played a lot of funk and rock on trumpet too. I also have a lot of theatre experience both on stage and playing in pit.

EQUIPMENT
A professional trumpet and flugal horn, all the typical mutes (straight, Harmon, plunger, cup), I have a drumset with many interchangeable cymbals. Kajone, cello, a nice Yamaha keyboard, small Amp, and I'm a college student, so my self recording equipment it a blue snowball microphone and my laptop, but I have access to a large music tech lab with recording and editing equipment and a soundproof environment that has changeable ambiance control.
