ABOUT

We are a 6 piece classic rock cover band that gigs on the average of two times a month at nice clubs/bars (no dumps) ,outdoor festivals, private parties and fundraisers. Our lead guitarist is stepping down after 4 years due to time, job and other pursuits. I am the male lead singer and play acoustic and electric guitar (rhythm mostly and some harmony leads). We also have a female lead singer and together create natural harmonies. Our keyboard player, drummer and bass (who can sing as well) round out the rest. We all are pros, who have been at this for many years and are in the process of putting together our summer schedule. We cover Beatles, Hendrix, Clapton, Aerosmith, Police, Pretenders, Billy Joel, Joan Jett, Zep, Stevie Ray, Santana, Skynyrd, Springsteen, Black Crowes, The Cars, ZZ Top, Bon Jovi, Elton John, The Who, Sheryl Crow, Blondie, Allmans, Stones, Joe Walsh, Adele, Fleetwood Mac, Kings Of Leon, Van Halen, James Brown, Bad Co., Van Morrison, Doobie Bros., Cheap Trick, U2, Foo Fighters and so much more. Also play mellow and standard ballads (ie. Moondance, Brown-Eyed Girl, Pretty Woman) when appropriate for the gig -- so this should not be something you would be unwilling to play as these staples are a part of us too!

We are looking for a seriously talented lead guitarist who has the gear, the tone and the chops. You should be comfortable and confident playing leads from Clapton, ZZ top, Allmans and the blues. You should know your instrument to get the right tone to fit the song we are playing. Our lead guitarist should be able to lead the song through his riffs, licks, dynamics and tone. We are used to a high level of playing from our lead guitarist so it is important that our next lead guitarist fit that bill. Our goal is to play a song as close to the original recording as possible and have had much success at this. Of course it would be ideal but we don't expect someone to walk in and know the leads to all the songs we cover. However you should be able to listen to a song, pick out the leads and learn them as close to note for note to add to and aid our group in reaching that goal. We have fun at what we do and take our fun seriously. We rehearse once a week at a studio usually on a Sunday afternoon. You will need to do your homework and come prepared the best that you can. When everything clicks -- it's a beautiful thing!

As a band we play with dynamics, and understand that to get the tone right sometimes a guitar amp must be loud, however come back to earth when someone else is singing or playing. We have a PA and everything gets mic'ed up so the PA sounds like a stereo in your living room. We also like to add our own flavor to certain things as well. We are very open to another voice for lead and harmonies. There are no real egos in this group. Stress is not what we are looking for. We have a great time and support each other. We have been around the block with past bands - we all work FT jobs so music is our passion - not our main staple of survival! We are 40+ and have the talent, commitment and team attitude.

We do have a following and are always looking to add more. We are down to earth, good people who are professional and put on a good show to make it enjoyable for everyone. This is not a group that is getting drunk and stoned in between sets. We are open to suggestions in someone else's musical tastes, and are not snobs. Can you fit the bill? Please tell us about yourself and how you could be the right person to fill this position!
