SEEKING
Band to Join, Bass Guitar, Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar.ABOUT
I'm looking for two or three guys (guitar & bass) for playing together about once a week and for an occasional gig (maybe about one per month). Expert skills aren't needed; at least a little singing skill is preferred. I'm no pro - but take pride in at least keeping solid time (job #1 for a drummer) and in doing a fair job of singing (lead, backup, harmony).
My favorite types of music to play are high-energy rock, rap-rock, and funk (all stuff that makes you want to move); but I'm open to playing other types of music. I’m fairly picky about lyrics: I don’t want to play (especially publicly) songs with explicit lyrics or with messages condoning, glorifying, or promoting unwholesome lifestyles. With a little lyric editing or muting, most songs are okay.
I'm a Christian, married (23 years) with no kids, and a recently-retired engineer. I really enjoy making music but am not looking to make a living in music or become famous. Ideally, I'm looking for compatible, responsible, dependable, easy-going playing partners.
Let's rock!
