Erica Lulakwa Glenn is a singer-songwriter from Tanzania, East Africa. Her love of music began at the age of 8, when she began singing in her local church choir in the Kagera region of Tanzania. After completing a degree in Mass Communication from St. Augustine University of Tanzania, she would go on to work as a TV and radio producer at KISS-FM Tanzania, Trinity TV and the Tanzanian Broadcasting Corporation. Yet her passion for music never faltered.
Taking cues from music artists such as Miriam Makeba, Celine Dion and Angelique Kidjo, Janet Jackson, Erica released her first single “Tafakari” in 2005. It received wide release on East African radio and TV. Just one year later, she made her debut on the American airwaves with the lead vocal on George Sarah’s “Moja Bila Moja.” In 2010, she also released her latest single “Close to You” on iTunes. Her unique sound is influenced by a broad range of genres, such as Dance, Zouk, Gospel, Afropop, Traditional Rhythms and American styles.
A humanitarian at heart, she has committed 15% of her album profits towards building clean water wells in her home country of Tanzania.

Currently living with her husband in Los Angeles, Erica endeavors to create music that inspires others to live their dreams to the fullest.
