ABOUT

Born in Richmond,Va and raised on the the south of the james,Eye-Q has seen a variety of living.At the age of 12 Eye-Q moved with his mother from Richmond to Virginia Beach,She belived it would be best for him,a young black male in one of the worst criminally strickned citys in America and her a single black mother with very little help from anyone to help raise him as young boy.By time Q got to high school he began realizing the ways of the world and doing what a 15 year old does with not much guidance around them,smoking,drinking,hanging in the streets,etc....This caused a drop in his school performance from a B/C student to a D/F student and he started losing his dream of one day becoming a pro basketball player.Everything wasn't all bad for Eye-Q though,he always had a secret passion of writing rap songs,this kept him some what "a-float" in life.About now he and mother were on the way back to Richmond,sick and tired of Virginia Beaches inconvinences from the distances between family and the overall of just different people and surroundings,so they packed up.Back fresh in to the "Rich" by the age of 16,Q and mother then moved back to the Westend of Richmond instead of the Southside,to try anmd escape the madness of the streets and his mother tried to get him back on track with school,but he was always a hardhead.Now older than before he began doing everything he was times-two.Between getting arrested,being in the streets and tons of other things Q had been getting involed with he was thrown out of three schools,back to back to back,he lost all his hope as a hoop star because his grades were by this time straight F's and basketball coaches didn't agree with his appearance and attitude,so basketball was basically down the drain for him.There was another talent evolving under his nose and everyone else's around him,Rap.He had been on 106.5 the beats Cipher 3 or 4 times but,he never took it serious because rap seemed like nothing but another dream just like basketball to him.Days,Months,Years went by and more and more people began telling him he wasn't to shabby at rapping,He began writing serious songs and developing his craft.Around this period.Eye-Q was on his way back home to the Southside for one more try at high school.He attended George Whythe High and as expected was exspelled once again.With no diploma,he then took charge of his life,got his GED and still kept the rapping and producing up,and began to network and put out CD's seroiusly.The buzz got bigger and he kept it moving.NOW HE IS AT THE POINT WHERE HE IS TODAY THE MUSIC WILL TELL YOU THE REST!!!!!
