We’re a classic rock/blues cover band that plays the deep/forgotten tracks from cool bands from the early ‘70’s primarily. Think Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominoes, Bad Co, Neil Young, CCR, etc.
This is something we do for fun. We all have day jobs. No illusions of stardom. It’s a creative outlet. However, we are well rehearsed and are tight. We want to sound great. So you should have the chops, and ideally you can double on keys as we like the Blind Faith format (I’m on guitar, we have a drummer and bassist/vocalist). Rhythm guitar is OK too, tho’ keys are preferred. Not looking for any lead guitarists, thanks.
We like to rehearse once a week at UltraSound on W30th St. We split the rehearsal fees 4 ways. In other words have a day job so you can afford this lifestyle!
Again, this is for fun. But we do like to gig and we have a great venue that loves us and we get the stage for the full night. We gig every 3 months or so, but that was due to the schedule of our previous singer, so we are open to playing out more often.
