1. Lay down a basic blues shuffle like Blues Brothers:Sweet Home Chicago or Stevie Wonder:Higher Ground (it's shocking how many "drummers" can't do this).
2. Cleanly manage punctuated stops like the breaks in Robert Cray:Shiver All Over
3. Handle volume changes while keeping a consistent tempo like Cannonball Adderly Quartet:Mercy, Mercy, Mercy
