Flowmeter are a post-punk/alternative band based out of Dallas, TX. The band was formed in November of 2009 by Chris Gray and Arturo Contreras. Drawing on various influences such as Joy Division, Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine, The Cure, and The Velvet Underground, the two quickly formed a strong songwriting partnership. Defining characteristics of Flowmeter's music include dark melodies, reflective riffs, distorted guitar textures and introspective lyrics.
