I've probably forgotten more than half of what I've ever said, and
have said less than half of what I've ever wanted to say. Perhaps
that lost information fills pages in some damp library with watchful
dark figures in the corners and no intercom to let the readers know
the closing time. I'm not so sure. One thing I am sure of is that when
I'm singing words seem replete with validity and sound itself
resonates allusion. I believe music can be magical and maybe even
necromantic if it is at the hands of a worthy alchemist. I have a
background in poetry, visual art, and theater. When it comes to
music, I approach it with all that I've learned while utilizing those
facets of art. To me, music is poetry. It is raw drama. It's a
telling of visual artwork. It's everything that I've experienced and
will ever encounter.
Life is sometimes like trudging through a vast mire where I'm distrait
by all the mud and sodden ground, all the while knowing where that one
piece of tangible earth to stand upon is. That solid ground, for me,
has always been music, and dead on, it's always been singing.
