I work on my version of that sorta Cali/Jamaica white-boy reggae sound with a bit more electronic influence..

Songs are either all live instruments, all digital, or a mix of the two. Everything is built upon tight dub/hip-hop/rock beats and solid, deep basslines.

I use a lot of samples(some original, some not) and sequence virtual instruments via midi keyboard. guitar use is at a minimum on many songs, but often chimes in to reenforce or elaborate on the bassline.
