Hello! My name is George Callaghan, I am in an indie/alternative/rock band called The Greenstreets, and we are looking for a bassist/rhythm guitarist! We play original music as well as covers by artists such as The Beatles, The Police, ELO, Pink Floyd, R.E.M, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc. We currently have 4 members that range from 21-23 in age; a vocalist/guitarist/bassist, a guitarist, a keyboardist, and a drummer. We would like to add a bassist/guitarist to our band so that we can have lead and rhythm guitar as well as bass on our songs which will also free me up as the keyboardist to not have to always play bass parts on songs that we want to have 2 guitars on. We all met at Manhattan College and we practice/record at my house which is 25 minutes away from there in Briarcliff Manor, NY in Westchester County. In addition, we have gigged in the past, the most recent gig being on February 8th at Pianos Lounge in NYC, and we have upcoming gigs at places such as the Mercury Lounge (Sunday 3/17 at 8 PM) and Carroll Place (Thursday 4/11 at 8 PM) in NYC as well as The Rambling House (Friday 4/19 at 9 PM) in the Bronx! We are also working on recording our debut album! Our goal is to do write/record/perform music as a living rather than a hobby and we are looking for someone who has the same mindset and has a good attitude and work ethic. We also have all of the equipment that we need for recording/gigs including amps, mics/mic stands, cables, mixer/interface, and of course our instruments. Everything is set up in my living room where we rehearse 2-3 times a week! If transportation is a problem for you, I will gladly transport you to and from my home as long as it's within 30 minutes from either my house (Briarcliff Manor, NY) or the Bronx where most of my other bandmates live!
