Guitarist from San Diego looking for band who live for creating melodic
Song oriented music with elements of musical exploration in a tasteful manner
Serving the song is the priority exploration is the cherry on top
I started playing guitar approximately 25 years ago
also am proficient in bass guitar with a strong sense of melody in the bass lines
I absolutely love rythm guitar enjoy playing lead I love acoustic guitar flat picking and finger style
Have no problem playing at lower volumes and or acoustic
I don't consider myself a pianist or keyboardist but I can play with moderate proficiency to create parts and songs using both as a writing tool
I know my way around the kit as well again using it as a tool to capture ideas for songs
Lots of recording/live gigs/touring experience
I am extremely humble when it comes to my expectations I have no delusions of rock stardom it's just not how the music business works anymore
With that said i do know that hard work determination and longevity can absolutely etch out a modest living if persistence is maintained
What I'm looking for is a band preferably but also other musicians who live for creating original music and want to play as much as humanly possible
I am completely willing to start from the ground up and or join an existing project
I want to be creative with other creative people I want to work
doing this brings joy
I don't mind playing some covers but I would prefer a band that is focused on original music

Influences
To avoid an endless list of bands I will generalize my main influences come from the 1960s and early 70s from classic rock psychedelic rock English and Scottish folk music
The Mersey sound
The mods and the rockers
Surf instrumentals and the English instrumental bands of that era
The motown sound the stax sound
Baroque bands from that era
Also enjoy the first wave of jam bands
Not limited to just the old hippie stuff I also enjoy some of the new wave sound love the 90s rock and folk artists too and have really been enjoying some of the new indie bands of today as well there is some awesome music being made today it's just not mainstream usually
