I play guitar, and I play it well. My original music tends to be a blend of melodic  passages offset by dissonant chords and grinding hard rock. If another guitarist is present, I thrive on counterpoint. As a transient student at The University of North Texas College of Music I studied theory and composition. I am a fan of solos, but I do not insist that EVERY song have a solo. If another guitarist in the band is more badass than me, I don't mind playing second fiddle. I'm not opposed to playing in either a Christian hard rock band or a secular one. I AM opposed to constantly doing covers, though I acknowledge that they are a neccessary evil. I know my way around the studio (or atleast I won't get lost). My gear list will drop your jaw... yeah, it's real. I'm willing to travel up to half an hour each way every day for practice (longer if there is a safe place for me to set up my rig on a semi-permanent basis). I've lived in Texas my whole life, and I'm fairly hooked into the music scene, particularly in east TX. My experience in a band is limited due to previous work constraints; however, my experience playing along with other musicians is anything but limited. Influences:

DIME, Mark Tremonti (with Alterbridge, not so much his work with Creed... infact our playing styles are very comparable), A7X, Bury Your Dead, In Flames, a few contemporary Soviet composers, anything that's both melodic and rocks.

Gibson Les Paul 5A Quilt-Top, GLP Limited Edition Custom, GLP Figured Supreme, GLP Classic Custom, Diezel VH4 (look it up), Mesa Dual Rec Solo head (modded by Trace Allen Davis at VooDoo Amps... again, look it up), Mesa 412slant, Peavey JSX 412slant (listen before you judge), a few boutique pedals, some more fun sh*t in my rack, got a custom shielded dual head case/rack in the works from LM Engineering... it's a fu*kin pro rig. There's more, but that's what makes it on stage with me.
