SEEKING
Band to Join, Bass Guitar, Drums, Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar.ABOUT
My name is Jon and I’m looking to front for a band similar to The Strokes. I have always been involved in music. I started in a university choir when I was 10, and stuck with it for 5 years. After that, I joined my local School of Rock as a vocalist and did that for 2 years. I am a self-taught guitarist, and I play bass for my church’s worship band. Right now I am learning about mixing and mastering multi-track recordings. Message me if you are interested!

Influences
I love jazz music, mainly Mingus, Art Blakey, Amy Winehouse, and Chet Baker. I think that The Doors was one of the greatest rock bands of the 60s thanks to their jazz influence. I’ve been told I have a croony voice like Morrison’s or Sinatra’s. I’m going through a big Radiohead phase right now, but Soul and R&B will always be my favorite genre with the likes of Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Aretha, and pretty much anyone else you name. If I had to describe the sonic texture of the music I would want to produce, it would be very warm and garage-y, which is why I used The Strokes as a model for songwriting and mixes.
