I consider my self the following (roughly in this order) guitarist, vocalist, song writer, drummer, bassist
I'm looking to be in a band, any band, I can sing lead or back-up. I can also sing while play drums or guitar. I'm not great at harmonies but I could probably improve. I would love to be in a band a a drummer playing live versions of electronic songs (Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Thievery Corp, Shrillex, etc...
Below is my self analysis by instrument:
Guitar: I've been playing for 14 years. Very good at guitar. When i perform at solo gigs I like to play Dave Mathews, Alicia Keys, Train, Jack Johnson, Ah Ha, adapted pop songs, Tom Waits, standards... it's pretty diverse.Very good at finger picking (studied classical guitar for two years at FSU) and solid keeping time with a pick. I love funky rhythms.
Vocals - I have a baratone vocal. I tone it down but it's quite powerful then I want it to be. I studied Opera for a year as a senior in HS before discovering my love for contemporary music.
Song writing. I've written over 40 songs in the genres of blues, rock, pop, folk, and jazz.
Drummer - I'm currently studying the drums and love playing drums more than guitar. I love electronic music and can play most songs. I can play most rock songs. If I set my mind to learning a easy-medium level song I'll have it down in about a week.
