Gunblade X + Band in Silver Spring, MD

ABOUT

Gunblade X is a progressive rock/metal band that adapts music from video games into wild and new creations.

We have played shows at popular VG events, such as MAGStock and Game Over, as well as local venues around DC/Baltimore. We do have day jobs but make time for the band, so looking for similar level of commitment.

Our future goals are to create new music and perform live shows around the DC/MD area. We are currently refining demo material for our next album and are excited for you to add your sound! To that end, we are looking for the following:

- Proficiency in rock/metal vocals. This includes adding emotion, grit, and energy to the vocal parts
- Proficiency and experience in "working the crowd". This includes on stage presence, rock singer
gestures/pantomiming, fan engagement and charismatic banter.
- Ability to meet on weekend afternoons for practice (2-4 times per month).
- Ability to learn material in a timely manner
- Comfortable with using in ear monitors for practice and performance

Bonus points (but not necessary):
- You have the ability to write lyrics
- You have the ability to develop vocal melodies
- You have experience recording vocals in home studio or professional settings
- Are familiar with the basics of music theory and notation
- Ability to play an instrument in addition to singing
