I've been in PA for too long, hating the cold winters--but I've been teaching music/guitar for the last 15+ years as well as playing in cover bands (bass and guitar). Did 7 years with a wedding/party rock band played everything from top 40 to standard jazz sets on bass. Also played heavily with a semi-acoustic trio (I was the odd ball noise maker-used Roland guitar synth, also normal acoustic and a mandolin. Almost everything I played with the acoustic act was improvised--the other 2 guys knew the songs. I'll be relocating near the end of March headed to the Orlando or Winter Park area and looking to meet some people and start playing in the warmer weather!!! and you can contact me at wsjz5365@cfl.rr.com
everything I've heard, felt, read and tasted--and I taste everything I read -- (it's not a good idea to lick your pc monitor!) seriously--way too many- rock stuff, bluesy 60's & 70's (Zep, Hendrix, Jeff Beck)-acoustic folky things from Simon & Garfunkel to Ani DiFranco--Adrian Legg - hyper-speed jazz stuff like Al DiMeola. New heavier rock Seether, Velvet Revolver--all the grunge stuff to even classical/finger style guitar work. OAR, Bob Marley, Yonder Mountain String Band, to Nine Inch Nails, Porcelain and the Tramps--do I need to keep going.
