Touring tribute band looking for ambitious person who has or would like to develop skills as a Lighting Designer.

This person will play a critical role in production by creating the lighting design that enhances the overall look and feel of the band’s performance. Their responsibilities include collaborating with our stage manager to understand the artistic vision, selecting and positioning lighting equipment, creating lighting cues to support the narrative or mood, and overseeing the lighting during performances. Job duties may also include moving equipment with other members of our team or the venue staff. The band travels in a tour bus (tight conditions) so getting along well with others and being cognitive of their impact on those around them is important. Food and lodging are always provided and pay will reflect that which you bring to the team. Most gigs require being on the road Thursday night to Sunday morning. It is mandatory to always be on the bus except for a local play, where you could drive yourself. Experience can be overlooked for someone who has the drive and heart to learn and do what is required. This position also requires your ability to give the band an open calendar for scheduling purposes.
