I've only been playing bass for about a year and i'm pretty old... should have started a long time ago, but oh well. My husband plays drums, but since he's been playing for 30 years, he doesn't want to play with me so I usually just have to play by myself. He's got a band now and Im slightly competitve, so I really want to prove that an old lady with 1 year experience can put out something as cool as his band does. I just want to try and have fun and not let fear, inexperience, or lack of talent stop me from giving it a go. I'm willing to work hard and practice a lot, but don't know much about anything as far as equipment and how to play with other people, so hoping I get really lucky and find some people in the same situation, or people that are really, really, reallly saintly patient and kind.
I've also been messing around with drums for the last couple of months and I think I could progress well enough to keep a beat in a reasonable amount of time... as long as there are no fills....
