We are looking for an experienced DJ/producer on the turn tables for a very unique music project. Our band Is called Delta Get Down. As the name implies we play raw Mississippi Delta style Blues music but with a very unique approach. We call it playing the blues "on steroids" or something that people can dance and "get down to". What we are wanting to do is play a type of Electro Blues with a different twist with Electro Beats... We have one very experienced Guitarist and Harmonica player. What we want to do is be able to play live on stage while we play the Raw sound...... we want a DJ to not only be able to mix in beats while we are playing but also be able to improvise in anyway they see fit. Effects, anything funky that they can do. This is what is going to be different than anything else people will see or hear...Especially live. This will allow the DJ to still be creative and do what he does best and be a part of a band plus still be a solo artist if they choose. At this point we do not play with a drummer and really do not want to. We play with pre mixed beats that are normally looped but its just conintuous so it could be ALOT better. All of our music can be found on the web through , , , Clammr. It has gotten a lot of positive feedback and continues to grow as a following. I will also forward any links so you can get a feel of our style and music. What we are trying to do music wise is going to be unlike any other happening right now. No one else is or will be experimenting in the direction we are trying to go. I think standing out like this is what will get noticed. We currently HAVE PAYING GIGS LINED UP. We will be getting a lot more if we can bring the right person on board. We are very open minded so look forward to hearing from any and all musicians.
