currently im taking a year off of school and shackin up with the rents here in buffalo. my friends from school in toronto were huge music heads, very talented musicians. they really turned me on to the jam and ive been addicted every since.

Influences:

i learned basic jazz and classical piano throughout middle school. around then i loved davis, coltrane and bill evans. bob dylan was an inspirational poet whose words sank deep. hendrix grooved my soul. so did marley.
i really connected with soul music, especially al green, marvin gaye, STEVIE WONDER, and SlY and the Family Stone) toronto has an awesome orchestral band scene (broken social scene, do make say think plus other local bands). since discovering the instrumental perspective, i've been diggin some new but esp older sublime/red hot (2nd hand smoke/freakystyly knocked my socks!) pixies, rage, blond redhead have been other significant discoveries.

i love the drums and love exploring all different styles. im still in the pupa stage, but ive so far found a wealth of confidence and creativity that seems to eminate from the process of stretching the limits of my mind, ability and diversity.
