I started out playing electric guitar, and took lessons at my local church every saturday. I learned my basic skills, but sadly money got tight and I had to stop taking lessons. I don't play electric guitar that much anymore, but occationally I'll learn an acoustic song for fun. Shortly after I took up the bass guitar. I'm self taught at bass, and I can play nearly anything. I play a lot of slap bass mostly, like red hot chili peppers type stuff. I've been playing both instruments for about four years and I plan on continuing to do so. I practice everyday for at least twenty minutes, often longer. I have a lot of free time to kill, considering the fact that I have homeschool, so I would make a really good committed member. I've had experience in playing gigs before, and I have subsituted for my friend's band when the bass player was sick. The most people I've every played in front of is probably around 30 to 40 people or so, maybe 50. I've jammed with my friends multiple times, but they aren't very committed. I'd like to find a group of people who enjoy making music as much as I do and as often as I do. If you're interested, don't hesitate to let me know. =) I've gotta say that alternative is probably my favorite music to play though.
