ABOUT

Howdy, I'm Jacob and I'm 25 years old married to my wonderful wife Jessica and we have 2 cats. I'm a christian metal/rock musician (no not the cheesy kind, I steer away from mainstream cliches). I'm pretty skilled at what I do and I'm looking for other like-minded christian metal/rock musicians. Specifically though I'm in search of a vocalist, not really any other types at the moment. If you can sing and play thats fine but I'm not looking for musicians who only play instruments. I myself can play guitar, bass, piano(keys), and program drums in ProTools, but alas God didn't give me the gift of singing lol So I want a vocalist(male or female voice) to complete my work. Mainly I just want to write a solid christian rock/metal album with actual christian lyrics, not the stuff you hear on the radio. God deserves more than what that psuedo worship produces. As far as the style goes, that's up in the air. Whether it be thrash, power, death, progressive rock, pop rock, etc, I play it all and I'm not sure what I want the album to be. All I know is that I want it to be melodic, somewhat progressive, and yeah :)

Influences

My influences include pretty much everyone from Synyster Gates, to Nick Johnston, to classical musicians. I'm pretty much all over the board, but to describe my guitar playing style I'm a mix of Synyster Gates and Nick Johnston with a dash of everything else thrown in. Some bands that I'm really into right now are Theocracy, Nick Johnston, Marty Friedman, Steve Vai, After The Burial, Casting Crowns, Get Scared, Megadeth, etc.
