ABOUT

A graduate of New World School of the Arts in Miami, FL & Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, Jeff Maldonado is a well seasoned guitarist and singer-songwriter.
Along with his wife, fellow singer-songwriter Christine Baltazar-Maldonado, Jeff formed the acoustic folk-rock duo
“The Providence”
as well as the pop-rock band
“The American Poets” which have both been prominent forces in the South Florida music scene. Their music landed them a showcase performance at the world famous "Bluebird Cafe" in Nashville and were also spotlighted at "B.B. Kings" Blues Club in Memphis.
Jeff has built a name for himself as a skilled guitarist, tone rich vocalist, and crafty songwriter.
While performing with
The Providence in 2005, Jeff was approached by a member of Julio Iglesias Jr.'s production team and was offered to be a part of his live touring band to support his latest release. Jeff toured with Julio Jr. and also appeared with him on several nationally and internationally televised programs. Subsequently, he was then hired to perform a one-off show with Latin music pop star Talia on the internationally televised Latin Music Charts program “Cartelera Pepsi”.
In mid 2006 Jeff returned to his original music project The American Poets and released the album Light Of Life which received much praise and critical acclaim.

Jeff's musical influences run the full spectrum of styles and genres. His ability to adapt and transform himself to fit any musical shape and structure is an appealing aspects of his musicianship.
Jeff's dedication and passion for every project, combined with his unwavering attention to detail has earned him the respect and recognition of his peers and fellow industry professionals.
In 2013, Jeff, along with co-founder David Liscum formed the band “House Of Peace”, a contemporary Christian praise & worship rock band signed to City Of Peace Records (Provident Label Group/ Sony).
House Of Peace's debut album
Into The Great Unknown was produced by acclaimed Dove Award winning producer and member of We The Kingdom, Ed Cash, and was releasd in early 2014.
House Of Peace released their follow up album Welcome To The River in the Fall of 2020.
Jeff and Christine currently continue to perform as
“The American Poets” near and around their home in Winston Salem, North Carolina, and Jeff is also currently a member of the Christian rock band
“Royal Peasant Revival” based in Greensboro, North Carolina.
