Been playing music since I was a kid - started with clarinet in the school band. I primarily play guitar - started learning when I was about 11 years old. I got quite proficient and played in several bands by the time I was 18/19.
I took a long break from playing, but picked guitar back up again around 2019. Past couple years I have started to write my own music. Been wanting to find other musicians to play with, as I miss playing with others.
Would love to be in a classic rock cover band, or a group that writes their own stuff - I would love to collaborate with writing. I can play a variety of styles. I played guitar in my high school jazz band - I love playing jazz music too. I've gotten a lot better with my improv playing, primarily with rock music - haven't really dove back into improving over jazz music quite yet.
I picked up a 5 string bass about 6 months ago and have been getting better on the bass, as well.
I've been playing through an audio interface and using virtual amps lately, but do have a small Marshall tube amp as well as a solid state practice amp. I also have a Randall half-stack that is currently out of town, but is retrievable if its needed.
