SEEKING
Band to Join, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Keyboard.ABOUT
Who am I? Very good guitarist (and I can read), half-assed keyboardist (can play rock stuff, but I’m no Keith Emerson), decent singer (if you like Jimmy Buffet – I’m not a Chris Cornell). I have pro-gear and 50 years+ continuous playing/writing/recording. MM in composition, published on Dobermann-Yppan, experienced in, rock, blues, progressive rock, alt-rock, goth, film-score and musical theatre. Currently playing keyboards with the Snakeboy Johnson Band (Texas blues, rock, and soul).
What am I looking for? Working performance situation – music is a performing art. Money is good.
What am I not looking for? Non-paid studio projects, esoteric non-performing jams.
What would I like to do? Power trio + singer or 4-piece playing big-ass rock, from The Who to The Foos. Songs that people recognize, maybe even didn’t expect to hear. Nothing that would be appropriate for a lounge and nothing obscure (I can do esoteric and obscure in my own studio).
About the audio tracks:
“I Am” – From the band ‘M’ I was in 20 years ago, tragically playing the Hollywood strip when it was no longer a ‘thing’ (but still fun). I wrote the music and played guitar.
“Am I Really Wrong?” – From my San Francisco prog-rock band ScienceNV. I wrote the music and lyrics, played most of the guitars and keys, and mixed it.
“The Eunuch” – Again from ScienceNV. I wrote the music and lyrics, played one of the two guitars, sang (the baritone part!) and mixed it.
