Joe “Big Papa” Sags: Watertown, CT based Drummer for Hip-Hop/Nu-Metal cover band KARMiC JUSTICE; and progressive/fusion band SOCIAL RELAPSE. Playing drums since the age of 16, Joe studied snare drum and drum set with James Miller; performance and recording with Tony Chirco; jazz with Ed Stockmal; Latino and soloing with Fran Merante; and currently is studying double bass drumming and endurance with Matt Byrne of HATEBREED. Joe’s biggest musical influences are Steve Gadd, John Bonham, and Phil Collins.

Artists that Joe has recorded and performed live with over the years include UNYN, Delvis, Dead City, Orange Peel, Mercy Drowns, Fusura, Jive Turkey, Quanis Capers, Inertia Inc., DSM, From Within, Stone Masque, Universal Sound, Jared McCloud, Brittney Gilbert, NAKED THURSDAY, and Ronnie Neuhauser of No Cheez Records.

Joe has appeared on a recording used for a live performance of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” for New Zenith Theater; played drum set and percussion in the orchestra pit band for the musicals "Footloose" and “Hair” performed at the Warner Theatre in Torrington, CT; also played drum set for Center Stage Presents: The Broadway Wax Museum, a Musical Cabaret performed at Western Connecticut State University.

Joe’s album credits include: “1717 Vine St.” by Jared McCloud; “Starcow” and “A Collection of Improv’s and Live Performances” by SOCIAL RELAPSE; “Total Exposure” by NAKED THURSDAY; and making his backing vocal debut on Ronnie Neuhauser’s No Cheez Orchestra “War & Pom Poms.” Joe’s singles credits include: “White Rabbit” performed by Paul DeMattia; “No Sense” and “Inertia” by Inertia-Inc; and “Hold On” by Brittany Gilbert. Joe's project SOCIAL RELAPSE song titled "Lust in Motion" has been requested from the non profit organization Bikers for the Cure to be used in their 2007 slide show presentation.
