At my age ( 62 ) I have played songs by ear ( self taught ) since my early teens. I was really good, and had songs memorized, jammed from time to time with friends, wrote some songs.. Never was in a band. Over the years, I have forgotten a lot of what I knew,. ..but it comes back now and then. ( No, I don't have dementia ) ha ! Anyway,,,anyone can learn to play an instrument, but having soul is either in you or not. Im not being boastful, but I do think I have soul. Ideally I would like to be a rhythm guitar extra ? someone in the background,..just to add sound,,,with my six or twelve string acoustic guitar. , like maybe to a Christian group, or Country, or classic rock. I checked moderately committed but can also go with just for fun, and/or see how things go.

Influences
James Taylor, Eagles, Neil Young, CSNY, Beatles, all bands and musicians from that era who were songwriters with acoustic sounds. Like old Country and Western, Willie, and the like. Maybe some new but not too many. On the Christian side , ...there a singer songwriters to whom I really don't remember their names so much, as I do their songs. One that comes to mind, is Chris Rice.
