My name is Josh I've been playing drums for about 10 years now. I have experience playing other instruments such as guitar and piano, and I have a decent knowledge of music theory/harmony. I have experience playing live shows as I was in a serious punk/hardcore band for 3 years, but after a while our group slowly lost a couple of members and eventually decided to call it quits. I am interested in finding a group of dedicated musicians to write songs and perform live. I feel that my strongest musical style is in the progressive metal genre, but I am open to any style of music, and I can pull inspiration from any style of music.

Influences
Some of my biggest influences are from bands like Dream Theater, Rush, Lamb of God, and Between the Buried and Me. My favorite drummers are Mike Portnoy and Dennis Chambers, if I had to pick two ( there are so many great drummers it's hard to list them all).
EQUIPMENT
I am currently playing Gretsch catalina drums and sabian cymbals, but I'm planning on picking up a set of Roland TD 11KV electronic drums within the next month or two because they sound great and offer a lot of versatility.
