ABOUT

Jason Sees Studios is a Seattle based music studio for musicians who cannot afford to go to London Bridge ($80/hr), Avast ($90/hr), Studio X, or even The Hive ($40/hr). I want to provide quality recordings for the little guy, the up and coming artist. I have rates but I am flexible based on YOUR budget, and YOUR requirements. I want to work with you to get you a product that you can be proud to give to your fans.
I am a recording musician myself, and I know how much effort goes into your music. I want to work with you to provide the best possible recordings within your budget.
Rates:
aprox $20/hr....
I would rather come up with a price based on your projects individual needs. Are you just trying to record a single? 4 Song EP? Or a full Album? Do you want the album mixed or just the raw tracks? How about Mastering?
I can record quality raw tracks or get all the way to a polished product ready for distribution.
Is it going to sound like you recorded Abbey Road? Probably not, but I can gaurantee commercial grade recordings at price you will not be able to find anywhere else in the Pacific Northwest.
How do I have such low prices? This is my personal recording studio and I would have it whether I was recording other peoples music or not. I WANT to record your music and help you get a product that you are excited to give out at your shows.
My request from you:
Come to the studio ready to record, have your solos down pat, know your songs and what you want out of them. When the record button is lit is not the time to be trying out a new riff or figuring out which lyric fits better. Have your songs down and know what you want before you come into the studio.

I can record 8 tracks simultaneous. This means I can record your band all playing togethor live. However, THIS IS NOT the way to get true commercial grade recordings. I highly reccomend the following for standard band ensembles:

1. Record drum tracks live with whole band (scratch tracks recorded for song orientation)
2. record bass lines to drum tracks
3. record rythem guitar parts too bass, drum, and scratch tracks
4. record vocals
5. record accompany instruments (horns, keys, lead guitar, etc etc)
6. record lead vocal doubles/background vocals

I highly reccomend the following for singer/songwriter acoustic type tracks:
1. record scratch vocal and guitar/piano tracks for song orientation
2. record keeper guitar/piano over scratch tracks
3. record vocals
4. record accompany instruments

will this take longer and cost more? YES, but it is the only way to get true isolation and thus commercial grade recordings. I will do either for you but I must warn you that the less isolation of the inbdividual recordings the less control I have within the mix and thus less control of the final product.

I have a full complement of studio grade professional musicians who can record to your songs. In general they each charge $50 per track but the final price is up to them. I do not get a cut of their money. They are all very capable musicians and incredibly creative. They will play exactly what you want or come up with beautiful complements to your music.

Your equipment is safe in my studio. My studio is equiped with a top of the line alarm system with motion, sound, and door security systems. I also have a very large dog and am armed to the teeth within the full context of the law. So I wouldn't reccomend anyone try.

Since my studio resides alongside my personal residence I prefer to meet and get to know my clients before I release the location of my studio.
