Hello world I am Juliano aka DJOL, I have been playing, writing, producing, and recording music since I was 15. I have a Full Studio at my house and I play music everyday. I started out rapping and making beats, then learned a little piano and guitar, then I started a Home Studio when I was like 17ish. I trained, then worked at Audio Genesis (Studio in Wilmington) with Karen Kane when I was 18.
Around this time I had also started a Rap group with my friends and we rec an Album at my studio, I also had a Solo Album around then too.
Played a show in Atlanta in 08ish and met Big Boi from Outcastz, ended up getting an Internship at their Studio in Atlanta GA and moved there a few days later. I ended up doing the Internship which turned into a job as an Asst Engineer, then a Emgineer. I lived and worked at Stankonia Recordings for 4 or 5 years, where I also became Pro Tools certified and got some credits and made a little $.
But then had a chain of things happened that forced me into moving back to Wilmington, including the economy crash. I planned to go back at first but things just never came in place.
I still keep in touch w some of my people from ATL tho.
Shortly after I moved back to Wilmington I got married and had twin sons, then divorced.????
Also during this time I worked at Screen Gems doing sound and building sets.
I've also always had a home studio except for a few years after I had the kids, I just didnt have time or space but I still would play some keys and sing here or there.
After getting divorced I set my Studio back up and now my kids rap and play music with.
I also have some Film projects I am currently working on that have to do with music too!
Looking for all types of musicians and artist for all types of different things as well as I would love to be in a band.
Honestly I have probably only become good enough on piano in the last few years to play in a band but I'm confident I cld hang now a days. I wasn't super smart w music theory when I was younger but playomg the keys finally helped me learn what I need, scales (major/minor) and progressions and chords and all.
