ABOUT

The Wayback Machine is a working classic rock cover band based in the Long Beach area. We average 3-5 gigs per month, mostly at bars. We've played all over the LA area from Culver City to West Covina with many of our gigs in the Sunset Beach area. We usually play 3-4 sets (35-50 songs) and like to get at least $80 for each member, not including tips. We are looking for a female musician who can definitely sing harmony back up vocals on all songs and possibly sing lead vocals on 10-15 songs per gig. Playing multiple instruments is a plus, especially bass and/or keyboards.

Influences

We mostly play classic rock from the 60s-90s with the bulk of our tunes from the late 70s early 80s. We try and mix the different eras into each set. Since we are entertaining the bar crowd, we tend to choose popular hits over more obscure album cuts and prefer the more rocking tunes. Artists include Beatles, Stones, Who, Doors, CCR, Petty, Cougar, Springsteen, Young, Cheap Trick, Pat Benatar, Heart, Joan Jett, Journey, Styx, and many other bands you hear regularly on KLOS or the Sound. We can send a complete list to those who are interested in auditioning.

Members Of Band

We usually play as a 4-5 piece band, however, some of our members are in multiple bands so our line up varies. This is why we are looking for a permanent new member
