Highly skilled classic rock drummer seeks very serious cover band that has a full roster of gigs already booked.
I am seeking bandmates who are dedicated, show up to rehearsals, do their own homework, and who understand that the "fun" happens on stage rather than at practice sessions. I am not alcohol or 420 unfriendly, but I prefer a group that keeps such things to a minimum, so as not to interfere with strong, positive progression. Personally, I am not into either 420 or alcohol, but neither am I a prude about such things, and I simply prefer to avoid excessiveness as either can rapidly develop into time-wasters.
I have a massive arsenal of songs from tons of classic rock era bands which are fully memorized and come very naturally. I have excellent timing, and I understand the importance of a steady drum rhythm that neither speeds up, nor slows down throughout the duration of any given song. I also place a strong importance upon finesse, meaning I don't pound my drums as loud as they can get on every single song without regard for its original intent, except and unless doing so is required by a particular song.
