BASS GUITAR & THE BLUES
I come from a solid background of a gigging guitar player who sings lead and backing vocals. I am now pursuing opportunities to play bass guitar. Love the Blues, but I've also played bass in an Americana band playing some bluesgrass and country.

I like blues and have a blues duo with a harmonica player in Ohio. Finding a blues harmonica player here in the Fort Myers Area would be great!

My experience is by far as a singing guitar player. But my quest is to sing and play the bass. Which I've done in an Americana band covering classic country, bluegrass fiddle tunes and folk and Irish music. Now I'm taking my skills of playing bass and singing to blues jams as much as I can.

Again I'm looking for some musicians to play music with in Fort Myers area. I can play solo gigs but prefer to share the experience and the work with a duo partner which to me sounds better with backing tracks. That's what I do now. But it's fun playing with a live drummer and locking into the groove as a bass player.

Influences

I have a lot of musical influences in pop music from the 60's and 70's. I got into country music in the 80's. and 90's. And I had a country band in the 2000's that played classic and contemporary country. I also love the blues and rock n roll. I have a lot of musical influences, too many to list here.

I play both electric and acoustic guitars. I also play Ukulele, but bass is my passion now.
On guitar I love to sing lead and harmony vocals and take great pride in being an expert rhythm guitar player! But I also improvise too in the blues and country styles.

My main singing influence is me trying to sound like me as opposed to trying to emulate others. I will change the key to songs when necessary to fit my vocals range which is baritone.
