Influences
New project influences: Machine head, fear factory, in flames, nothingface, dry kill logic, lamb of god, and other sh*t like that, basically going for a heavy yet melodic and flowing sound with a good structure and semi-complex riffing.
Personal Guitar Influences: off the top of my head I would have to say people like robb flynn and logan mader's style from the first machine head album was very eye opening for me, as well as fear factory's dino, andreas kisser form sepultura is a huge one for me as well as dimebag's ryhthm stuff, I don't pay much attention to the lead stuff because I can't play a solo for the life of me and probably shouldn't try but really any guitarist from the above mentioned bands have influences on me and my playing style as I try to emulate them and incorporate all their styles in my playing.
for bass playing its pretty much just a few people, victor wooten is amazing and les claypool, although I would never try to emulate their styles and adam duce and paul gray for their heavy picking style which I tend to use a lot.
my vocals are lacking but on good days I can do some pretty good clean stuff based off influences form layne from alice in chains, and arron lewis.
EQUIPMENT
I use an Ibanex Art300k Les Paul tuned to dropped B and a Line 6 amp, I also Use Amplitube 3, Trillian bass module and Ezdrummer along with Reaper to record rough tracks and demos.
MUSIC
-
Very early demo
Very early demo Track number: 1 Year: 2009 Album: Demo Genre: Metal
My friend Chris ( my project's vocalist) and a good friend of mine Justin wrote and recorded this on a whim one day and it's kinda crappy quality and my guitar wouldn't stay in tune at all, but it does showcase some of my talents on guitar, I did the first track, Justin did the second track and did back up vocals, he's the deeper one you can hear him best during the line "you are broken" while chris sings the verses and they switch on the chorus, the drums are computer generated using ezdrummer's drumkit from hell. Again this is just a random song we did on a whim on day so don't take it seriously, I've gotten better and so has chirs.
