ABOUT

I am a semi-retired all-pro drummer looking for a fun live project/band for local gigs. I have been playing for 40 years. Significant live and studio experience. Ability to learn large set lists in a short period of time and ready to gig with minimal rehearsals (I do my homework).

Influences

Wide variety, but really have affinity for modern American singer-song writer (story telling) and folk/blues-rock. Also dig R&B, soul and funk. Springsteen, Neil Young, Allman Bros, Tom Petty, Rod Stewart via Every Picture Tells A Story, Hendrix/Ray Vaughan, I can go on forever. I like good music and clever song writing.

EQUIPMENT

Early 90's Tama Rockstar series kit, deep red stained maple. Single kick (tasteful double-kick pedal when appropriate), snare, either 2 or 3 rack toms (depending on project) 8", 10", 12" and a 16" floor. Variety of snares based on project. All Zildjian cymbols inc 13" quick beat hats, 20" earth ride, 2X 18"crashes (medium and rock), 18" high china. 10" splash and cowbell (depending on project).
