ABOUT
I play Hawaiian Steel Guitar and Electric Upright Bass. I love Hawaiian music and Hapa Haole music from the 30's through the 60, and also enjoy other types of Hawaiian music that are melodic rather than strongly rhythm based. I do enjoy Hawaiian Jazz and Swing styles.
I have a good ear, and can back up almost any kind of Hawaiian without charts. I have equipment that can handle gigs up to the size of the Aloha Theatre, Kona Brew Pub, etc. (I have performed many gigs here on the Big Island, and have traveled to Okinawa to perform for Hula Ho'ike.).
I am interested in meeting musicians who enjoy performing, who are 50 to 65. Particularly singers who play 'ukulele or guitar, and who are familiar with Hawaiian music.
