ABOUT

Played all my life. Im not the worlds greatest but I can damn sure make it sound like I know what I'm doing at least. Lol. Self taught other than a few chords my dad showed me when I was little. My parents always said they'd take away my toys and games but never take my music from me when I got in trouble... I got in a lot of trouble... so I've had some practice.
I love making real music, but I'm not too fond of what I hear on most radio stations, it's like people stopped telling a story with the song and just make noise instead. (Personal opinion only)
I just like to play and work on guitars to get the best possible sound out of each one

Influences

I'm a metal/death metal head but was raised on bluegrass, southern rock, rock, blues, metal, etc. I like classical music especially when made into a metal cover.
As far as influential people: SRV(though I'm not THAT good), Hendrix, Metallica (up until the LOAD album), lamb of god, zakk Wylde, Skynyrd, arethra Franklin, Beethoven...... **I mean, honestly anything that involves heart and soul and talent. If it gave me a tingle up my spine when I heard it, then it influenced me.

EQUIPMENT

I'm always tryng to trade around and see what else I can obtain but mostly I just like getting them into their best possible playing condition and putting them back into circulation. I'm kind of like a guitar rescuer and yes when I see one in shambles, I'm worse than the ASPCA with a mistreated puppy.
Currently I have:
-Alvarez 12string acoustic. strung as a 6string to take advantage of the slightly wider string placement for better room and playability on the neck.
-yamaha acoustic electric. It's taken some hits but it holds tune better than anything I've ever played. And Its definitely become a favorite of mine.
-LTD eclipse electric. I'm usually an Epiphone or Jackson fan, but just like the Alvarez, it was a gift and both pleasantly surprised me. It was covered in rust so I cleaned it up and put new hardware where applicable, swapped the bridge pickup with a Duncan design humbucker from a Gibson gothic lespaul. (Sweet)

**I have quite a few more but they are works in progress or are being used for Frankenstein efforts with other guitars. I make what I call "sleepers". Like the drag cars, looks like crap but blows the big dogs out the water when it starts playing.
-Speaker-wise, I've not had much access to the luxury of electricity over the last couple years so I geared more to acoustic, but I did gut a Line6 spider3 amp and used the CPU and head from it to run it through a set of Kenwood home stereo speakers and usually I do any extra equalizing thru my laptop if needed. I really love that method as opposed to the amp speakers. but again, electricity is not very abundant for me so I haven't gone much further lately.
I have some processors, pods, etc. But I'm almost constantly busy so if I have time to jam I prefer the amp to have my back on distortion or what have you.
I'm actually in the process of losing my home and I'll be losing or giving away most of what I have very soon, so the essential equipment is HOPEFULLY what I'll b able to hold on to.
-ALSO, I have full unlocked version of FL STUDIO .12.20. but I am NO audio engineer, being a self taught, macguyver-musician, I don't know the lingo nor the processes of that side of the industry. I can tell ya what is needed to be done but have no clue what to properly call it when it comes down to it. I can only barely do basic stuff, if that.
**I know I've went above and beyond with the descriptions and input on these info boxes, I do apologize but the optional answers are too vague so I just figured I'd lay it all out there. Lol**
