Looking for knowledgeable, professional quality musicians to help start a band to play Grateful Dead and other American Roots music. Two guitar players with vocals are ready to go with about 20 songs – think Weir and Garcia type, very complimentary, different and with key parts already worked out. Need bass player, drummer and piano/organ – vocals helpful.

PLEASE – If you can’t count in 7/4 or 10/4 time or if you don’t really know what that means – don’t respond. If you have a problem with spending time to properly learn and practice the material BEFORE rehearsal – don’t respond. If you’re looking for a little rehearsal, get out and make money situation – don’t respond - (yes, we want to get it out asap, but reality is that it will take a little time and effort – not a lot of gigs for this type of group at first - maybe you have contacts?).

If you can play your instrument well enough, know music and chord structure well enough to jam with others by listening to them (instead of your own trip), love the catalog of Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, etc., love playing this music enough to realize it will take some rehearsal to bring it beyond a free for all jam band and make it a dynamic, living, breathing monster – well, if any of that fits, PLEASE respond! If you think we’ve talked before, and you fit the criteria and feel you could be the guy – gimme a shout, we’ll talk some more.
