I have been playing around with the keyboards for a little over 20 years. I have managed to come up with some decent original stuff, but it lacks energy or teeth without a guitarists. I don't sing (at least not very well) and am mediocre at lyrics, but can muddle through them ok.
Anyway just looking for some local people to collaborate/co-write with for creating and recording of some original tunes. My objective is to come up with more of a rock sound, which is hard to do without a lead guitar and vocals. I do have a drummer who is interested, just trying to get the rest off the ground. I'm pretty computer savvy, decent at mixing. I have no real interests in the limelight, just happy playing background ambience. I don't mind alterations in anything I come up with, or working with someone else's stuff.
What A Fool Was I, Is a collaboration with Rob Grant, who plays guitar in the background wrote the lyrics and performs the vocals, Mark Coutier plays lead guitar and I am on the keyboards.
It started out with just the background guitar and drum track when I added the keyboards, the vocals and lead guitar were added after. I had not expected he would use both the E. piano and organ riffs, but he liked the way they meshed and combined them in the final mix.
Alan Parsons Project, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, ELO, Tomita, Jean Michel Jarre.
Roland Fantom S88, Juno-G, Korg Trinity Plus, Alesis Andromeda A6, Zoom MRS-1266. HP computer. I do have electronic drums, guitars and bass, but I'm still really novice in those and it sounds it lol.
