I started at 9 years old in the school music program, went through middle school band and orchestra, high school band and orchestra, and city youth symphony. I got my kit at age 11 and played pop, rock and funk. At 20 I moved to NYC and played in rock, reggae, jazz and Afro Cuban bands. I studied drums at the drummers collective and privately with Kim Plainfield. In San Diego, I’ve played with original rock bands, blues bands and a Rock, Funk, Alt-Jazz, 60s Surf and blues band.
