Played all kinds of music my whole life. Especially enjoy Beach Music / Yacht Rock / R&B / Southern Soul / “Oldies” / 60’s, 70’s & 80’s.
Retiring from 40+ years working my full-time sound company. (Still have lots of PA & lights.)
I am interested in playing danceable, fun, happy music and not just the standard “Old Time Rock ‘N…Stairway To…Freebird” sets.
The last band I was in (years ago) was ‘Flashback’ from Richmond, playing bass in a nine-piece top-40, R&B, Beach Music band. I have also been a drummer and keyboard player in my early band years.
Looking to play out occasionally but not as an every weekend working band. (I’ve become used to having my weekends!)

Influences
Beach Music Bands / Jimmy Buffett / my grandfather, Eddie Weaver, and my mother who fostered my appreciation of all types of music. When my mother agreed to let me play drums she set one condition, that I would need learn to play all types of music, so I grew up playing everything from the 1920’s onward. I also have a great appreciation of really good vocalists and keyboard players. As a sound engineer for the past more than 40 years, I have been exposed to a large variety of genres and cultures.
