ABOUT

Hello All,

I have been playing guitar for about 20 years, and I am looking to change things up from playing mostly covers and am searching for creative people who want to write originals. I thrive on constructive criticism and input with a goal to make great music. I have guitar riffs and arrangements of about 10 songs. If you are interested in writing, don't mind vocalizing your opinion, and are cool with meeting to jam/write once a week to every other week, hit me up. I have a setlist of 25ish songs that can fill the down time when we hitting writing blocks. These songs include Seven Nation Army, Dream On, Iron Man, One, Fade to Black, Enter Sandman (and I know plenty more Metallica), Under the Bridge, Other Side, and many more. I love learning new songs as well.

As of now, I have about 10 songs in the works with mostly guitar riffs. 3 to 4 of them have first draft lyrics down, but most are lacking the drum parts. The bass parts of somewhat written, but I am looking for more diverse parts - kind of like Tool where the bass parts stand alone from guitar parts. Preferably, I would have someone who plays drums to write with, BUT if you do not play drums and are willing to learn (or already know) how to add drums via the drum machine, that's perfect. Although I would love all members to contribute to the writing process, my experience has been there is usually 2 people doing most of the writing. I would love to find someone that I vibe with. I do have someone who plays bass and a few people who are always willing to sing. With the right person, we could decide if these other members would work.

To be clear, I want at least 1 other person that is willing to invest in the writing process who I can vibe with. If you aren't a singer, I do have access to several singers with a wide range of talent that can assist with the writing process as a whole. I am NOT necessarily looking for a band who is going to play live shows until the music gets written, so I would not expect to play live for 6 months to a year (unless things go better than expected with a new band). So, if you are looking for gigs right off the bat, that's not what I'm looking for at this time...we will get there, but I really want to write music.

To be upfront, I have my own band room where we jam, and intend on hosting the majority of jamming/writing session, so you are welcome to bring and leave equipment if you want. I also have quite a bit of equipment available. I have a young child, so my jams are mostly limited to 1 day a week max and sometimes every other week, but when we do get together, it would be for 4 - 5 hours. I am hoping to jam about 3 times a month, BUT I do practice a lot when I am not with the band.

If interested or want more information, text (preferred) or call me at 630-674-9562, and I can really clarify my goals. Like I said, I want someone that I can vibe with and enjoys the writing process. If you are interested in hearing samples of what I play, please reach out. I teach and am currently on summer break, so I have more free time to jam and really get the writing process off the ground. AND, I do have access to a professional music producer who owes me 5 songs already paid for. Lots of positive things if you join.

Influences

My influences range greatly. Some from top 10 include Metallica, Megadeth, Machine Head (as heavy as I would want), Eagles, Van Halen, AC/DC, anything David Grohl is in (his attitude and Robb Flynn's are big influences and reflect our beliefs of what it means to be a band), GNR, Iron Maiden, and Black Sabbath/Ozzy/Dio.

Members Of Band

Brad Czerniak - Lead Guitar and music writer (main role, but willing to share lead parts with others).

EQUIPMENT

I have several amps, plenty of guitars, a 5 to 6 piece drum set (my current drummer leaves his drum set at my house), a bass, and a keyboard. Again, I can clarify this later.
