I was a band kid since I was 10 through college playing saxophone/winds, I've played guitar/mandolin/banjo in multiple bluegrass band for a number of years, played in big band jazz gigs in college, and I've studied classical guitar since I was 13. I can sight read woodwinds and can comp on guitar. I'm also experienced as a live sound engineer and have done lots of studio work.
