String basses are my principle instruments. I am formally trained and thoroughly versed in performance, form and technique. I am the organist at my church. Also, I play drums. I have studied music theory and music electronics (synthesis) from 10th grade(music school) to beyond college. I studied arranging under Dr. Dennis Wilson. I write music: compose, transpose, and transcribe. I eat music. My schedule allows practice 4 to 6 days each week. I learn new songs too often. I sleep music. They tell me I snore. I've taken a short 2 year hiatus after retiring from fire fighting and am looking to do fill in or sub work. I prefer jazz, funk, reggae, gospel, blues, calypso, and rock.

Bass equipment: King M1 double bass, custom made Ken Smith 5 string fretless, custom made 5 string Surine fretted, SWR (Silverado), and Phil Jones (Sixpak) combo bass amps. Keyboard equipment: Hammond (XK-3C System) with Leslie, Korg Kronos 88X, and KingKorg 61 note synth. Drum equipment: HB 12 piece drum set.
