I am an instrumental music teacher and play every instrument as well as a fifth grader! My main instruments are my voice, rhythm guitar and the flute. I am an excellent guitarist and flutist. I can improvise on flute and can figure out how to play almost any song on the guitar by ear. I also read music, obviously. I have written some original songs. I have performed throughout my life, mostly as a solo singer/guitarist at local coffe houses, wine and cheese venues and artsy restaurants. I had the privilege of being invited to attend a songwriters workshoip by the late Harry Chapin at his home when I was a kid. I have also performed at Merle Fest a huge music festival in North Carolina as a songwriter several times.
