I love playing but don't love hauling gear around to play gigs. Jamming and recording are where I like to spend my free time playing music. The occasional gig is necessary and good but steady gigs at small venues is not something I'm interested in.

Influences
I liked pop as a kid. The Beatles were my first favorite band that wasn’t one of my parent’s favorites like CSNY and Chicago. I still love all three of those.
Early: ZZTop, Led Zeppelin, Robin Trower, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, AC/DC
Late teens/20s: Van Halen, Ozzy, Yngwie, Satriani, SRV
After 1990: Heavier grunge like AIC/Soundgarden/STP/etc; TOOL, Eric Johnson, Django Reinhardt, Plini
I have always also loved early Stevie Wonder and early Elton John (since that pop loving kid) and lots of 70s funk. Love great funky bass and good drummers.

EQUIPMENT
A ton of stuff. Mostly Marshall amps but love old Fenders and Vox. I gravitate more to vintage style amps and guitars, the stuff my musical influences used in the 70s/80s. But I need (and have) the gain required for Van Halen, TOOL, etc.
I play almost every day.
