ABOUT

**2024 Update still looking for guitarist/drummer/singer friends one last time**

Looking to play in Chicago and/or surrounding suburbs and regionally in the Midwest (weekend warrior type stuff), get together to jam/practice/songwrite as much as it makes sense) and also keep practicing on our own to work on our technical skills.

In an actual band, it would be good if everybody in the band could contribute some way creatively so that it's more of a collaborative thing (bounce ideas around etc) and in other non creative band endeavors (the business side of the band).

I figure you can either wait until you've reached the top of your skills to start playing with other people, or work on your skills together and reach some goals collectively and get the experience of playing with other musicians. Age isn't that important. It's about similar goals, drive. and good communication.

This would be an opportunity to grow as musicians and hangout and talk music. Perfect abilities aren't necessary (I'm still learning a lot myself!). Working towards improvement is enough, and I'd like to reach the skill level of a thrash/death metal bassist (that's the ultimate goal--still working on the BPM though!).

I'd really like to create a specific vision--something that has a framework to work within, but can still be open to innovation and experimenting, that everyone can excited about, and that we can share with each other and others by creating music, releasing music, and playing some live shows.

I would even be interested in being part of a mostly studio only band (just self releasing albums) and making some cool and unique albums, EPs or songs.

Can also come up with song titles, lyrics, and other conceptual ideas.

I'm also willing collaborate electronically. I'm straight-edge but it isn't an issue if you have a few beers (just nothing out of control). No "hard drugs"... Mmm.. quotes.

I'd like to do originals eventually to play out live (notice I said eventually, don't want to get ahead of myself here) but we can definitely hone up our skills/craft with covers and practice together if we get along good (this is honestly my priority first and foremost and should come first before anything else).

With that said,I'd like to play out live soon as we're realistically good enough. Also, please no "hey man tryout for my band bullsh*t"; friends first, then band talk). Any project that I'm involved in I want to be able to creativity contribute something towards--not interested in just being a hired gun/follower, and course I want cool people that are easy to hang out with and have fun--since music is supposed to be fun, lol.

Generally about an hour travel distance would be the max for me--maybe willing to make some exceptions depending on the situation.

Nu Metal, Doom, Thrash, Black Metal, Death Metal, Punk, Hard Rock, Alternative, Industrial, Goth (not into metalcore for the most part though--just personally not a big fan).

Stage presence and headbanging.

Have solid transportation.

Let's kick some ass and have fun.
