I play Bluegrass, Old-Time, Western-Swing, Red Dirt, Americana, Country-Rock, etc. I also play old time country (Hank Sr. & earlier).
I focus on the craft of song writing.
Much of my professional experience has been in worship bands, for which I have been on church platforms every Sunday for over 20 years, playing most of the popular and well known songs & hymns.

Influences
Troy Stetana's book, "Speed Mechanics for Lead Guitar" took my playing to another level as a teenager, as well as the guitar tabs for Joe Satriani's 'Surfing with an Alien' album.
As a drummer, I draw from influences like Mark Trombino from Drive Like Jehu/ aMiniature, and Blake Flemming of Dazzling Killmen.
As a bass player, Steve Youth of 7 Seconds & Darrin Grey of Dazzling Killmen were influential on my style.
On my rhythm chops and composition Superchunk and Afghan Whigs had an influence on me as well.
On fiddle, I am influenced by Kyle Nix of the Turnpike Troubadours. My fiddle instructor took lessons from Bill Monroe's fiddle player, Tommy Magness.
